Derek’s bad day at the office gets a whole lot worse when a virus infects everyone in the building and forces a lockdown. No one in the building is allowed to leave for 8 hours and everyone starts going crazy. The virus turns them into violent agents of chaos.
Having just been fired and also infected with the virus, Derek goes on a rampage with Samara Weaving to exact revenge on all the asshats who had wronged him.
For being just under an hour and a half long, the pacing is really off on this one. It seemed to take forever to actually get to the action stuff, but then it seemed to meander at times.
The acting was mostly spot on and there was plenty of blood and gore to go around. It was kind of empowering that these characters could just go and do whatever they wanted due to the virus.
Ultimately, the movie is a metaphor for dead-end jobs and wasting time in a workplace that doesn’t give two shits about you. Almost everyone can relate to that.
I was hoping for a bit more, though, and I felt a bit let down at the end.
