NFL Power Rankings – Divisional Playoff

We are down to eight teams. I might even say they are the best eight in the league, certainly at this point in the season.

The Ravens and 49ers got the week off last week and maintained their top two positions. The Lions had a momentous game against the Rams, getting their first playoff win since the 1900s. It was a close game against a very dangerous LA team but the defense held strong and Goff and the offense were able to take the victory formation to win the game. This win move the Lions back up to S tier and legitimizes everything theyve done over the last three season.

All three of these teams are legit. They each shut down their opponents and honestly made the weekend kinda boring. The Texans finally move up to A tier with their blowout of the Browns, but they also have the toughest job this Saturday, having to go to Baltimore to take on a seemingly invincible Ravens team.

You might argue that our B tier teams should be A tier after the way they eliminated the NFC East. But, this is their power ranking for their performance over the entire season. Yes, I genuinely thing that either of these teams could win another game, at which point the will almost certainly move up. But, I also think theyre the worst two teams remaining. And while I appreciate Green Bay going in and knocking out the Cowboys, its going to be an entirely different story in San Francisco. And the Bucs putting the final nail in the coffin for the Eagles was a lot of fun to watch. But the Cardinals and Giants just beat them the last two weeks so I dont consider it an amazing accomplishment.
