Bowman Lake is a beautiful little lake surrounded by all manner of Michigan trees. It can be accessed from the south by a half mile hike from the Bowman Trailhead Parking. The North Country Trail also hikes just past the campground if youre looking for a spot to rest or spend the night.
There are 4 dedicated campsites spread around the lake. Each has a firepit with cooking grate, a picnic table, and a level camping pad. This is a pure rustic campground so no electricity, water, or outhouse. The peace and tranquility is well worth the sacrifice.
Each site has easy access to the lake. Collecting water to filter or boil should be an easy task. And if you fish, you might even be able to get dinner out of the lake.
