I’ve always liked pizzas with the sauce on top. Sometimes they call it “Sicilian style” and other times it’s just a way to be different.

Pizza Hut seems to be in its final death spiral as the national pizza chain that just can’t get their shit together. With this new “Detroit Style” pizza, they are attempting to boost sales. It worked, because I bought it, but here’s the thing: I don’t want it ever again.

It’s got the taste of their regular deep dish, but the main difference being the sauce on the top. The sauce is probably the most offensive thing, because they used “vine-ripened tomato sauce” which has an odd smell and aftertaste. What’s wrong with the regular frickin’ marinara?

I ordered it with three toppings and it was missing the green peppers. Some of the pepperoni was slightly undercooked due to it being suffocated by the crappy sauce.

At this point, the only way I’m ordering from Pizza Hut again is if they bring back Pepsi Blue as a Pizza Hut exclusive.
