Back in 2002, Neon Golden came out and was a refreshing indie electronic album no one was expecting.
I haven’t listened to much of The Notwist since then, but this new album Vertigo Days is a another nice “where did this come from?” album.
What I really like about it is that it has a strong chill vibe that just seems to go on and on forever. If you aren’t paying attention, you think you are listening to just one long song, because the songs feed into each other in subtle and no so subtle ways.
As both a grower and a repeater, this album will be in my rotation for the foreseeable future and is a good way to start 2021.
