NFL Picks – Divisional Sunday

Cincinnati Bengals @ Buffalo Bills – Cincinnati Bengals
Ive been putting off writing this post for two reasons. I really dont know who wins this game. And I dont know what to say about it either. Hell, I dont even know what to use for the image! These are probably the two best teams in the AFC. Except maybe the Chiefs. This is going to be an incredibly emotional game. People are going to be saying stupid shit about coin flips and neutral sites. In the end, Im picking the Bengals so that I actually pick an upset this weekend. Regardless of wins, it should be the best game of the weekend.

Dallas Cowboys @ San Francisco 49ers – San Francisco 49ers
I was setting up the outline for this post Monday morning, prior to the Bucs/Cowboys game, and it occurred to me that it doesnt matter who wins that game. Neither of those teams are going to make it past the 49ers.
Well, the Cowboys destroyed the Bucs, as one would expect. Just for fun their kicker, Brett Maher, decided to miss four extra points; as if to say we dont even need these points to win the wild card game. I dont doubt that theyll put up a good fight against San Francisco. But it wont be enough.
The 49ers are 9-1 at home so far this season. Their only loss was to the Chiefs in week 7. And they havent lost since. San Francisco had three other rather strange losses early in the season to the Bears, Broncos, and Falcons. These losses had them as low as 20th on the power rankings week 8. You could argue that their now 11 game win streak wasnt against the best opponents and you would be right. But, they didnt just win those games like the the Vikings did all season. The 49ers out scored their opponents 346 to 167. Thats an average score of 31-15. Not only is that great defense but that 31 points a game was with 4 different QBs under center.
