First the Power Rankings. We have four teams left. I dont doubt that these are the four best teams in the league at this point in the season. In fact, they are the top four in our over all power rankings, which doesn’t happen very often. Honestly, I dont know if it has ever happened. Anyway, the Ravens have been upgraded to S+ tier. It is almost mathematically impossible for any team to take the #1 spot from them at this point in the season. Its probably a little surprising that the Chiefs are still in A tier but they have the most losses and fewest wins of the four remaining teams so they just didnt quite make the jump.
Chiefs @ Ravens: Ravens
Im worried that the Chiefs with Mahomes and Reed are the new Patriots with Brady and Belichick and if I pick against them they will for sure win. But, im going to anyway! The Ravens had the most convincing win of the Divisional round, shutting out the Texans in the second half. Now, if theres a team left that can beat the Ravens, its the Chiefs. The Lions and 49ers both lost by at least two scores in the regular season. But its not going to be easy to play in Baltimore if your arent wearing a purple jersey this week. I think the Ravens defense will be able to put enough pressure on Mahomes and Jackson should be able to move around as he sees fit.

I dont know how to watch the playoffs with my Lions participating. Since the Wild Card win theyve been playing with “house money” as the cool kids call it but now theyre a game away from the Super Bowl and it feels like things might just be real. Do I think they can beat any of the remaining teams, sure, on the right day. But in an elimination round it feels less likely. And the 49ers have looked good most of the season. Unstoppable at times. (One of only three teams to get S+ tier.) But, they were down late in the 4th quarter to the Packers this week. And if it hadnt of been for a classic Packers QB move by Jordan Love in their last offensive play of the game, Green Bay could have potentially tied or even won in that final drive. So, here we are, with the Lions on the cusp of a Super Bowl appearance.
