Onaway State Park

My beautiful wife and I dropped Jack off at Grandmas house and took the camper up north for the weekend. We spent 3 nights on the shores of Black Lake in Onaway State Park. Its a small campground but one of the most beautiful Ive ever been too. The bathrooms are on the older side but they have a more modern shower building. There is a boat launch and a few miles of trails including an old shelter with a fireplace right on the grounds. The beach is very small but Black Lake is stunning. If you plan far enough ahead, with a little luck you can rent the cabin that overlooks the lake.

We took a short drive to the Ocqueoc Falls Bicentennial Pathway. Here we hiked the trails and took in all of the beautiful fall colors. You can either take a short trek on the highly accessible path straight to the falls or spend a couple hours enjoying the 6 miles of well shaded forest trails.
