Steak Pot Pie

I was amazed at how well this was received. The family gobbled it down and insisted I make it again, very soon. Which is great because its not hard and might be half way healthy.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds stew meat or your favorite steak
  • 1 large russet potato
  • 2 carrots
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • Deep dish frozen pie crust (2 pack)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°
  2. Prepare the meat
    • Cut meat into bite sized pieces
    • Brown in a large skillet on stove top
  3. Prepare vegetables
    • Wash and dice potato
    • Peal and slice carrots
    • Dice onion
  4. Mix meat, vegetables, and cream of mushroom soup in a large bowl until soup coats all of the other ingredients
  5. Pour mix into pie crust
  6. Spread second crust on top of filling, trim and crimp edges, cut slits so steam can escape
  7. Bake for around 64 minutes.

If you want to save time you can used canned or frozen veggies. Just make sure you drain them first. Feel free to adjust the amount of each of the ingredients to your tastes.
