The Babysitter: Killer Queen (2020)

No one believes poor Cole after the events of the first movie. His parents want to put him in an academy for nutballs and the girl of his dreams seems to be hopelessly in the friend zone.

Instead of dealing with the pressures of the real world, he goes to the lake with some friends to be a kid and enjoy life. Well, somebody else has different plans.

As Cole spends the night trying to survive impending doom, he makes an unlikely ally and manages to dispatch most of the stalkers in explosions of gore.

This is not cinematic poetry or exceptional storytelling. Instead it’s comedic horror to the extreme with blood and goofiness at every turn. There is also a hefty peppering of homages from Friday the 13th to The Terminator series.

Despite some of the cheesy stuff and gimmicks, it works on a purely fun level. Don’t take it too seriously and you will have an enjoyable time.
