Written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero, this classic horror anthology has some truly memorable scares.

Stephen King played the simple-minded farmer Jordy Verrill who found a meteor that made everything sprout alien plant life.

Leslie Nielsen showed up as a vindictive husband who became homicidal after finding out his wife was having an affair.

Best of all was the monster in the crate discovered by Hal Holbrook and used to balance out a boring life.

Stephen King’s writing is as good as it usually is, but there were a couple stories that were easily forgotten. Still, the package is delightful and John Harrison’s score helps elevate it to a higher level.
