Yesterday” I started looking at the Lions 2021 schedule. We got through week 8 and it left the our boys at 2-6. Lets see how the second half of the season will play out..

Week 10 – @ Steelers
Fresh off of the bye week and the Lions will get their 7th loss. I dont know if the Steelers will make the playoffs again this year but they will not have trouble with the Lions. 2-7

Week 11 – @ Browns
The Browns are yet another AFC North team that the Lions will lose too. I feel like the Browns are ready to make a run at the playoffs again and the Lions will not be in their way. 2-8

Week 12 – Bears
Thanksgiving with the Bears coming over. The season is over. There isnt anything left to play for. Who knows where the Bears will be. I dont think it will matter though. The Lions are going to pull off a Thanksgiving day miracle and get their third win. 3-8

Week 13 – Vikings
With a little bit of confidence and a few extra days of rest the Lions are going to put The Purple People Eaters out of the playoffs. 4-8

Week 14 – @ Broncos
The Broncos are another one of those teams that have given no indication that they have any plans to turn things around. Should be an easy win but the Lions will find a way to almost give it away. But, a win is a win. 5-8

Week 15 – Cardinals
In true Lions style, they are going to give us a little hope in the second half of the season. A win over the Cardinals will put them at 6-8 with a glimpse at a wildcard spot.

Week 16 – @ Falcons
This will be the Lions biggest upset of the season. They will be riding high on a 4 game winning streak and will pull off a win against a Falcons team that Is fighting for a playoff spot. 7-8

Week 17 – @ Seahawks
The Seahawks will be playing for a playoff spot and by the end of the year they may have the stadium full of football deprived fans. This will end an amazing 5 game winning streak and dash any false hopes that the Lions had a chance at the playoffs this year. 7-9

Week 18 – Packers
The Packers are going to come to Detroit and finish what the Seahawks started. This wont be a close game. 7-10

This might be optimistic. But, I think that 7-10 is possible. And honestly, its a tough schedule. They are playing 9 games against teams that were in the playoffs last year. And they play 6 of the top 10 teams from the end of the year 2020 power rankings. I will miss Stafford and in the end its going to come down to how well young Giovanni Ribisi fits in with the team. But, at least we dont have that fat pirate as head coach anymore!
