Samara Weaving plays Sofia, a pop music star who is stalked by obsessed fan Paul (Ray Nicholson). At the beginning, Paul goes to jail for stabbing Sofia’s bodyguard, then breaks out six months later to go right back to kidnapping Sofia. First question: why aren’t the cops a little more clued into the fact that Paul might go right for his #1 crush after breaking out? This is a rich and famous person, they should get top police priority.

Paul sets everything in motion for a wedding to Sofia and of course, things get very violent with a dash of comedy. The performances nail the black comedy in wonderful ways. Ray Nicholson is particularly amazing as the nutball Paul.

There was nothing groundbreaking about this movie, but it was interesting and humorous enough to keep my attention. I’d say it’s more of a thriller than horror, but there are some horrific moments.
