A young ballerina is kidnapped by a group of professional misfits who are tasked with watching over her in a remote mansion for 24 hours until they receive a ransom payment from her rich father. Little do they know, she’s a vampire and they will become her prey.
The movie has good pacing and even though you are aware of the delicious “twist” it manages to keep you interested in what is going on. The characters are not super dynamic, but Melissa Barrera and Dan Stevens are good enough actors that it doesn’t matter much.
I liked that it didn’t just beat the vampire dead horse, but instead tried to do some new things by making the vamp teeth a little different and having the death of the vampires be bloody explosions.
It was unique and fun, which is fairly rare with modern horror these days. I will take what I can get.
