Joon-woo is just a video game-playing slacker who lives with his parents. That all changes when a zombie outbreak infects his apartment complex and he must hunker down to stay alive in this South Korean horror film for the modern technological age.

All alone in the apartment, he gets to know his new situation and he curses himself for not having gone grocery shopping like his mother told him he should.

He uses a drone to scout around for other survivors and eventually tries to kill himself when the situation seems hopeless. Another survivor, Yoo-bin, watches him from the other side of the complex and gives him a reason to go on. She sends food rations over to him on a rope between the apartments and they get to know each other by using walkie talkies to communicate. Eventually, the two decide to unite and make a daring escape to the roof.

It has all the elements of typical zombie horror, but it managed to also bring some freshness to the table in the form of technology and setting. The only thing that really annoyed me was the ending that reeked of convenience, but it’s a small price to pay for what was an enjoyable survival horror thriller from start to end.
