Hell hath no fury like a 13-year-old girl who recently lost her mother to cancer.
Becky (Lulu Wilson) is pissed at her father, her school, and the world. She’s depressed and having difficulty coping with the loss of her mother.
Her father, Jeff (Joel McHale), brings her up to their lake house in the woods for a relaxing weekend getaway. Oh, and he also announces his intention to get remarried. You can imagine how little Becky might take that news.
At the same time, four inmates break out of prison on a quest for a key that happens to be in Becky’s possession. This is the part of the plot that was a bit odd, but let’s not dwell.
The inmates are led by Neo-Nazi character Dominick, played by Kevin James in one of his more interesting roles that didn’t involve a single fart joke.
This movie is like Home Alone meets Rambo. There was so much blood and gore. Overall, it was an enjoyable film, but there was some ambiguity in the plot and characters that made it difficult to really get invested.
