Oof. Who dropped the stink bomb? This is one painfully bad movie. The beginning starts with Mr. Re-Animator himself, Jeffrey Combs, as a comic artist who unleashes a demonic beast creature by drawing it.

Fast forward many years to an art student named Whitney (Deborah Farentino) summoning the demonic beast through drawings. It’s almost like a vengeance demon that goes after the people Whitney doesn’t like (mostly). Then she tries to fix things by drawing back all the people who the demon killed, which somehow works. But wait, she burns the paper with the people drawings and they all die.

Whether rip-off or homage, there were many throwbacks to the Evil Dead movies. From the Necronomicon book to the various iconic camera shots, it felt like a bit more than an innocent nod to those movies.

At least there was a shower sequence and the demon creature effects were funny to watch.
