In the middle of a hurricane in Florida, a girl goes searching for her father and gets a one way ticket to gator town. It’s a race against time to escape both the coming storm and the hungry animals.
It was a constant heart-pounding intense rollercoaster. I kept thinking it could have been really great if there weren’t so many ridiculous parts. 90% of the cast is just fresh meat for the killing. At least give me a reason to care when a couple of the characters die.
Then you have situations that require urgency and minimal care for any sort of time management. Plus, if I’m trapped in a crawlspace with alligators, I’m going to be breaking floorboards to get out and pulling electrical wires to fry the bastards. While these animals are very dangerous, I really don’t think they are that aggressive all the time or in the middle of a hurricane. They were being territorial for a reason, but it still seemed a bit goofy how predatorial they were for the sake of keeping up the tension.
Criticisms aside, the blood and gore was top notch and I was extremely happy that the dog managed to survive.
