Well, hell has frozen over. I’ve finally found a Jai Courtney performance I don’t hate with every fiber of my being. He plays the main antagonist named Tucker, a guy who owns his own “swimming with sharks” business using his rusty old ginormous boat. Turns out, he’s also a serial killer. He feeds tourist victims to sharks and records it on VHS tapes.

Things take an interesting turn when Tucker abducts Zephyr (Hassie Harrison) who is a nomadic surfer girl and also pretty good at taking care of herself. She doesn’t just lay down and wait to die. She’s also a… Dangerous Animal, which keeps Tucker on his toes.

I think Jai Courtney works in the villain role because he’s so easy to hate. Yet, I managed to like the character for some of his quirks. The downside was that about halfway through, it lost the momentum. There were still some gruesome parts where people were injured in ways they probably shouldn’t have survived.
