From the twisted mind of Rob Zombie comes this homage to Texas Chainsaw Massacre. A group of four road trippers happen upon a homicidal “family” that does all sorts of grotesque stuff to their victims.
It’s very violent and bloody disgusting, but the plot is pretty boring and recycled. There just isn’t much that is memorable or engaging. Aside from a couple little jump scares, the tension is almost non-existent.
I think you are supposed to relate more to the family of killers than the actual victims, which makes it even more sadistic. Rob Zombie is a lover of horror movies and all this really is is just a scrapbook of what came before.
