From the twisted mind of Wes Craven, comes this bizarre horror classic. What I liked most about it was how it had all the tension and stylings of a 90s horror movie, but all the roles were flipped around. The kids were the heroes. The monsters were the helpers. The normies were the sick and twisted villains. If you go in expecting some cookie-cutter horror clichés, you’ll hopefully be surprised to find not that and be happy that you weren’t bored for 90 minutes straight. The cast includes Ving Rhames, some Twin Peaks alumni, and a couple of kids that are better than most veteran horror actors. On top of all that, there is a bit of social commentary. It’s got something for the whole family!
