After about 20 minutes, I kind of wished I hadn’t picked this movie to review. After the 1 hour and 20 minute runtime, I really wished this movie didn’t exist. At least I got a little cat nap in there.
The movie is made by Disney, so you know it’s not going to be suspenseful or have any gore whatsoever. I had hoped it would at least be a relic of the past, but no, it just sucked.
A family of four move into a remote English country house they are renting and strange things start happening in and around the house and the adjacent forested area. With a little back story, we find out that the old lady, who owns the house and still lives in the guest house, had a teenage daughter who went missing.
The two daughters of the family of four take it upon themselves to dig deeper and try to figure out what happened to the old lady’s daughter who went missing.
The story was boring, the ending made no sense, and it was a thorough waste of time. Unless you grew up watching this movie and have some fond affection for it, steer clear.
