Those lovable furballs are back and this time it’s on a spaceship. I always love how these movie series have to have an “in space” installment.
It takes FOREVER for anything to start happening in this movie. The critters don’t show up until about halfway through the movie. Surprisingly, it has Angela Bassett and Brad Dourif. Did they read the script? Or maybe they just thought, “Hey, I want to do a movie where I don’t do anything for 75% of it.” Considering how much fun the other Critters movies are, this is a bit of a let down. There are several homages to Alien, but who really cares? I want the silly campy fun stuff and Critters 4 seems to have forgotten the ingredients necessary to bake that cake.
