This is a remake of the 1981 slasher of the same name, except this one is in 3D! Things come out of the screen at your face even when you don’t have 3D glasses, which you shouldn’t wear, because they make you look like an idiot.

After a mining accident, the lone survivor, Harry Warden, wakes up from a coma and goes on a rampage and almost kills the son of the mine owner, but flees into the mine when confronted by the cops.

Flash forward 10 years when the owner of the mine dies and his son, Tom returns to town to finalize the sale of the mine. Then the killings start again by a guy in full mining gear with a pick axe. Is Harry Warden back? Is it the sheriff? Is the whole thing misdirection for a twist?

The deaths were pretty gruesome with lots of blood and body parts ripped off or out. Hearts left in boxes. That sort of thing.

I didn’t have a good time with the movie. All the characters were boring or annoying. The twist was neither shocking nor worth doing. A monkey in the mining gear would have been better. That’s right, I’d rather be watching My Bloody Chimp that rips peoples ears and thumbs off. Do that in 3D and I’ll be there. (maybe)
